Marlin.pde empty? (4 replies)

I've been working on updating my copy of Marlin and incorporate some bed probing. However, I switched to a recently-pulled version of Marlin (from the Marlin_v1 branch) and it seems that a recent change cleaned out Marlin.pde. Whenever it was that I originally downloaded Marlin, I could just open it up in the Arduino IDE and hit upload, but now that basically uploads an empty file. I'm not at home to test, but I'm assuming a make/make upload will install the firmware to my Arduino, once all the configurations in the Makefile are adjusted.

My question is, why has this change happened? Is there some advantage to requiring command-line uploading? Or am I totally confused, and hitting compile on Marlin.pde links to something that links to the Marlin_main.cpp? My poor mechanical engineering head is overloaded by all this code.

Thanks in advance for the help,
Chris
